Confucianism one thousand and several hundred years ago.
It is said that the group of Dr. Wani came to Japan from the port at the southwest tip of the Korean Peninsula but the shrine lets you imagine that the crew came to Japan using the Ariake Sea and took the route which is same as people who came to Yoshinogari.
Some people believe that since “Wani Daimyojin” and “Kumano three shrines” are enshrined, this shrine was built to pray for the safety for people who cross over the sea to go to Kumano Taisha Shrine from Kyushu in the Edo Period.
