It is said that The 28th lord of Takeo Clan, Shigeyoshi Nabeshima, created this garden spending about 3 years in order to complete his cottage. 2,000 of cherry trees and 200,000 of azalea in spring and colorful autumn leaves in fall create the stunning scenery with a cliff of Mt. Mifuneyama in the background, that reminds you of landscape painting.
