The successive heads of the Maeda Family used to succeed the position of the village headman of the Imari Area back in the Edo Period. The site of this mansion is about 3300 square meters and the main residence was built in the late Edo Period. The wooden house with thatched roofs was built in Kudo style often seen in old houses in Saga. And, considering the site is 291 square meters, it is one of the largest houses in Saga . which is typical among many old houses in Saga.
*The residence is a private property and the interior is not open to public.
