Chikugo River Lift Bridge is the only lift bridge in Japan and it can be crossed during 30 minutes from 5 minutes past every hour. It is also lit up at night. At the foot of the bridge is “Bridge Station Doronpa,” a shop offering free sightseeing pamphlets and sells local specialties and craft goods.
