The full-size monument of 25 great figures related to Saga, who actively participated in various fields around the end of Edo period and Meiji Restoration were set up at 9 places on the central street of Saga City according to the "Hizen Saga Bakumatsu-Meiji Restoration Expo" which is held all around the prefecture from March 17, 2018 to January 14, 2019.
Enjoy walking around historical sites in towns of Saga while learning about the achievements of each figure who has accomplished great feats.

Practiced education for children with intellectual disabilities at "Takinogawa Gakuen" with his wife, Fudeko for the first time in Japan.
-Ishii Fudeko (1861-1944) *The figure standing on the right
Devoted herself to supporting her husband, Ryoichi. Cared and helped children with intellectual disabilities to become self-reliant.
