The full-size monument of 25 great figures related to Saga, who actively participated in various fields around the end of Edo period and Meiji Restoration were set up at 9 places on the central street of Saga City according to the "Hizen Saga Bakumatsu-Meiji Restoration Expo" which is held all around the prefecture from March 17, 2018 to January 14, 2019.

SPOT1 The ruler of virtue, Nabeshima Naomasa and the wise men who supported him
-Nabeshima Naomasa (1814-1871) *The figure standing in the center
Became the 10th domain lord of Saga Domain at a young age and reformed domain duties. A ruler of virtue who made Saga Domain a powerful one.
-Koga Kokudo (1777-1836) *The figure standing on the left
The person in charge of educating Nabeshima Naomasa during his childhood. Naomasa shaped the reform of Saga Domain according to the opinions which were submitted by Kokudo.
-Nabeshima Shigeyoshi (1800-1862) *The figure standing on the right
A feudal lord of Takeo, Saga Domain. Having adopted Western gunnery and studied in a positive manner, he laid the foundation of Saga Domain's modernization.
