The mountain located by Ayabe Shrine is known as "Miyayama" or the shrine's mountain, by the locals. There are about 500 cherry blossom trees and about 700 of azaleas planted, and the whole mountain turns to pink in spring. With the path to the summit lit up with hundreds of lanterns at night, the mountain attracts a lot of visitors seeking to enjoy flower viewing.
