This place was created as the first dormitory guesthouse of Saga in April 9th, 2017. This is a warm hand-made guesthouse where you can enjoy DIY works such as wall painting with your friends. We also have a bar where you can enjoy Saga's sake at night.

Saga International Guesthouse HAGAKURE
It is a cozy restaurant that has only counter seats. Most of the ingredients used for the menu are locally produced. Reservation holders are given priority. Please contact for arrival time.

Kakou
This restaurant offers Saga beef and other Japanese black beef of 4th grade or better in quality. It is open every day from 11 AM, and on weekends until 5 AM the next day. So you can visit here almost anytime to enjoy grilled beef cuisines. All dining rooms are private and some are equipped with TV.

This is a long-established restaurant founded in 1882. It had the honor of receiving a visit by the Empror Hiorohito in 1949. Enjoy the Japanese dishes created with the skills developed through the history of over 130 years in the authentically Japanese style building.

Hizenmae Kyosushi
Baisao (1675 - 1763), one of the historical figures from Saga, is known as the founder of Sencha tea ceremony. He is said to have set the direction of Kyoto culture by serving tea to people from all social classes during the Edo Period, when the caste system was still present in Japan's feudal society. Hizen Tsusentei exhibits the articles and documents left by Baisao. There is also a cafe space, where visitors can enjoy looking at Arita sencha teaware and taste Ureshino tea and the specialty sweets of Saga. Here you can learn the master's virtue of a true tea ceremony: recreating a new world inside one tea pot.

Kameichi Hisatomi, the founder of the footwear store Hisatomi Shoten moved to the present location of this old building in 1921 and opened an office for his footwear wholesaling business here. The building used to have a factory in its backyard where they were manufacturing Japanese footwear. With the business expanded to reach the Korean market, his company became one of the major footwear manufacturers / retailers in the prefecture. The wooden sigh board with the name of the office written in old style from right to left (opposite to the way Japanese letters are commonly written today) is proudly displayed inside the store still today and reminds visitors of the old history of the store. Currently, the building is tenanted by Konekuriya, the handcraft cafe, on the first floor, and the photo studio Harenohi on the second floor and some other art-related stores and allows you to casually browse around pieces of artworks.

This Japanese style restaurant primarily serves fresh soba noodles and tempura. It is adjacent to Taiheian Distillery Museum where you can learn about the distilling culture. Saga's best Sake are on display, available for purchase, and available to taste-test. Visitors can try their hand at making hand-made soba noodles.
